PDF Combine is fast enough compared to similar programs. Is it too slow for you? How many documents did you try to combine?

have not only the combine but a splitter too!

Have the ability to split files into separate pdf to make it an all in one program.

We have done that in another program called PDF Splitter. It can split PDF files by pages and later combine them. In other words, rearrange pdf files. Find more info at http://www.coolutils.com/PDFSplitter

Make the combimned files searchable pdf file

What will be good for archiving is able to search the contents for either indexing or searching for content

If the source PDF files are searchable the final PDF file will be searchable too.

But if you want to combine several PDFs that are not searchable and get a searchable PDF file we could create a custom solution for you. Please, apply at support @ coolutils . com

Allow the rotation of pages so that some can be in landscape

Add an option tothe wizard so that single or multiple pages could be roated to landscape view, while maintaining the others in portrait.

Add help file for caption file format, etc.

combine a bunch of files and then email them to a distribution list....

Weekly financial reports, for instance, combine them, zip them down (either from combine or shelling to a copy of cmd.exe), send them to @board_of_directors.dl (distribution list, each email on a separate line.

PDF Combine allows adding watermarks to headers or footers. It can be any text you need.

Option to add to Windows Context Menu, bringing up wimdow to add to existing PDF you choose

Basically the same way the 7Zip GUI works if you choose Add to Archive, bringing up a window or menu where you could browse to & select another PDF file. And/or I suppose you could have it compile a list of PDF files to combine, so when you right...

Instead of rather rigid list view to checkbox, mouseover would give thumbnail view and zooms of documents to be sorted and combined. Some visible doc property data would be good for a mouseover, too.

Show various resolutions and instantly show the approximate size it will save as, so choice of resolution can be made.

Delete blank pages from the combined pdf

Especially useful if one of the pdf is the result of scanning mixed single and double sided items.

We have another program called Tiff Pdf Cleaner to detect and delete blank pages from PDF and TIFF files. Find more info at http://www.coolutils.com/TiffPdfCleaner Not many people need that so we will not add this functionality into PDF Combine.

This is another program called Total PDF Converter (http://www.coolutils.com/TotalPDFConverter). Use it to convert PDF to DOC or any other format. Though we could implement this conversion functionality into PDF Combine, it would not be good. Nobody likes a tool stuffed with too many options.
